è stato lanciato nel 2009. Dopo essersi trasferito alla Saatchi Gallery
di Number One Marylebone, l'evento annuale ha continuato a raccogliere
slancio e la reputazione, ha contribuito, senza dubbio, dai nuovi
proprietari, la Media Group Telegraph .
Quest'anno, oltre 90 orologio e marche di orologi-correlati sono stati
rappresentati, che vanno dalla produzione consolidata al indipendenti,

Ludovic Ballouard

Come si può vedere nella foto sopra, ci sono dodici "croce di Malta"
distribuiti uniformemente attorno al bordo del movimento, ciascuno
corrispondente ad un numero sul quadrante.
Maltese, o Ginevra, croci sono spesso visti nel lavoro di arresto di
orologi meccanici, ma possono anche essere utilizzati per tradurre il
movimento rotatorio continuo in un movimento intermittente, cioè
avanzare le ore come la camma a forma di nautilus centrale completa la
sua rotazione oraria. Due molle possono anche essere viste - di memorizzare l'alimentazione per il salto, ed il secondo per mantenere la tensione.
Tutto questo si combina con un piccolo stratagemma dial-side, come i
piccoli punti accanto ciascun numero sono nascosti alla vista sotto il
frontalino fino all'utilizzo. Non sono riuscito ad ottenere un buon video del cambiamento ora in azione, ma WatchesTV
ha una piuttosto bella intervista con Ludovic (in francese, ma con i

Un altro marchio che non era stato visto a Londra per qualche tempo era Urbano Jürgensen & Sønner, che raccolse i Premio Orologio da uomo a GPHG nel 2014 con il loro centro secondo modello (vedere sotto).

Questo è uno dei motivi per cui, per me, SalonQP è un'occasione così
insolito e unico nel suo genere: non c'è nessuna vendita (a differenza
di Basilea), e non vi è la politica marchio poco (a differenza SIHH), ma
invece, una collezione di designer insolite e interessanti e produce
tra una vasta sezione di mercato.

Mentre l'Urban Jürgensen & Sønner marchio
risale al 1773, la storia recente si è concentrata sullo sviluppo di
uno scappamento unica, sotto la direzione di Peter Baumberger e Derek
Pratt. La storia di questo movimento è affascinante e merita un molto più post in profondità. Basti dire, la produzione di un orologio da polso seriale contenente un scappamento arresto imperniato è notevole. Infatti, fino a poco tempo fa, molti pensavano impossibile.

L'arresto è stato progettato per essere utilizzato in un cronometro
marino, non per un orologio da tasca, o anche più piccolo orologio da
polso, e quindi ha dovuto subire una serie di modifiche.
Purtroppo, ho trascorso la maggior parte del mio tempo a disposizione
con UJ & S scattare fotografie, male, invece di chiedere circa lo
scappamento. Di fronte alla 1142C di riferimento e un riferimento 10
per la prima volta, sono caduto nella trappola di tentare di catturare
la loro somiglianza, piuttosto che capire i loro meccanismi. Si può (di solito) trovare foto da utilizzare per illustrare 'post del blog; tuttavia, è molto, molto difficile sostituire una mancanza di contenuti.
Il quadrante e le mani sono altrettanto interessanti, e perfettamente realizzato. Il guilloché riporta alla mente Breguet e Daniels , Smith e Voutilainen

ricorda con grande affetto), mentre le mani riflettono la luce in modo
che pochi altri sono in grado.
Mi è stato detto che questo è dovuto al metodo unico di produzione: la
lancetta delle ore si compone di quattro parti individuali che sono o
saldate o pressati insieme per formare il tutto.

Mentre a prima vista, i gambi e le punte arrotondate "luna" possono essere ricordano Breguet, che sono molto più complessi. La luna viene creato in due parti, a mano, con il centro piece "eye" tenuto nella sua sibling circolare per attrito. Questo occhio è smussato in maniera asimmetrica che non è immediatamente evidente.
Tuttavia, un esame più attento rivela che l'inserto è più sottile verso
la parte superiore dell'occhio, e ha una smussatura profonde sul fondo.
Aneddoticamente, ho sentito che la firma urbano Jürgensen mani sono
state progettate da Peter Baumberger, che ha fatto il primo si mise,
avendo stanco di cercare di spiegare la sua idea ai suoi orologiai.
Non contento con il loro movimento cronometro, Urban Jürgensen offre anche una perpetua, nella forma del Rif 3 e il Ref 10 . Mont Blanc
Il Montblanc Metamorfosi II mi ha eluso per un certo tempo.
Il primo prototipo è stato mostrato al SIHH 2010 se non ricordo male, e
io avevo sperato di vederlo sia SalonQP il 2010 e il 2011. Tuttavia,
per qualsiasi motivo, una versione operativa non è riuscito a farlo a
Londra.
Cinque anni fa, il marchio Montblanc era meglio conosciuto per le sue
penne che i suoi orologi, anche se per la metà del 2012, l'offensiva
fascino Villeret guidata era stata lanciata.
Questa ripresa è stata continuata da Jérôme Lambert durante il suo
regno come amministratore delegato, che si conclude con alcune impressionanti recenti uscite .

Il movimento Montblanc M67.40 sulla Metamorfosi II è un apparentemente

La metamorfosi II segue gli stessi principi di base come il modello
originale: un orologio con due facce che chi lo indossa può passare da a
volontà. Come il suo progenitore, l'orologio è un regolatore, con una lancetta dei minuti centrale, ore a dodici e data alle sei. La seconda, inizialmente nascosto, comporre anche nasconde una seconda complicazione - un cronografo con contatore 30 minuti.
Naturalmente, il mio obiettivo iniziale era su questo straordinario meccanico hemimetabolic processo. Semplicemente spingendo la slitta ripetitore simile, le due serie di elitra -esque lascia a dodici anni e sei, si aprono e si ripiegano sotto i resti del quadrante guilloché.
Mentre ci vogliono solo circa cinque secondi per rivelare le funzioni
del cronografo, è difficile non (metaforicamente) trattenere il respiro
mentre si verifica la trasformazione. E 'un momento delicato, che ricorda di aver visto un automa del 18 ° secolo o ammirare simili; c'è un leggero ronzio che non è dissimile al rumore fatto da grandi scarabei della Tanzania. Ma questa è un'altra storia.

If there’s one iconic 007 watch, it’s the Rolex Submariner 6538.
This model has a special place in Rolex history as the original “Bond
Submariner” watch. Though several other Submariner versions, including
references 5508 and 6205, have also received the nickname, the 6538 is
said to be the original Submariner to be featured in James Bond films.
Lights, Camera, Auction!
A vintage Rolex Submariner 6538 was recently sold at Worthy; and as
the story goes, it was on the set of some of the most emblematic James
Bond movies. The Rolex 6538, produced between 1954 and 1959, this
classic timepiece, we’ve heard, appeared in “Dr. No”, “From Russia with
Love”, “Goldfinger” and “Thunderball”. In each film, actor Sean Connery
wears the Submariner with several different strap combinations and
utilizes it to achieve his mission. Perhaps the most iconic shot of
Connery wearing the Rolex watch is in the film “Goldfinger” where he
illuminates the watch’s dial with his lighter.

The Rolex Submariner 6538 seen in “Goldfinger” can be seen during the
first few minutes of the move, just after Sean Connery wiggles out of
his wetsuit and steps into the Latin nightclub. If you’ve seen the
movie, then you know that Bond was surreptitiously checking the time, as
he has just set a bomb to blow up a concealed heroin laboratory.
Back to the Goldfinger Rolex for a moment. This watch is crafted from
a solid block of 904L stainless steel, which is the perfect material
for a dive watch that takes you from underwater situations into sultry
nightclubs. This particular type of stainless steel is
corrosion-resistant, plus it buffs to a soft shine that offers a look
similar to that of white gold. The bezel features 10-minute markings for
divers to time their decompression stops; for the non-diving Rolex
Submariner aficionados, it just looks cool!

That scene brings us to the next twist in the story of this watch.
The watch collector who presented this Rolex to us also offered an
accompanying vintage lighter – a gift to Robert Sprague, Member of the
American Society of Master Projectionists, from Albert “Cubby” Broccoli,
the well-known the producer of many 007 films. The other names
inscripted in the lighter correspond to Lamar Boren, underwater
cameraman, Ricou Browning, underwater director, and Jordan Klein,
underwater engineer, all of them members of the 1965 “Thunderball”
crew.* This lighter is a wonderful piece of Bond history and if any

Ian Fleming & Rolex
It might not surprise you to discover that author Ian Fleming, who
wrote the original James Bond spy novels, had a deep-seated passion for
Rolex. His personal favorite was a Rolex 1016 Explorer, which also
happened to be the original James Bond watch. The Rolex 1016 is no
longer in production, but you can view Ian Fleming’s famous Rolex
online, and you can see it at the National Watch 7 Clock museum in
Columbia, Pennsylvania, where it is displayed alongside some of
Fleming’s personal letters.
As you may have guessed, Ian Fleming’s appreciation for Rolex watches
overlapped from his personal life into the Bond stories that he wrote.
In the original novels, James Bond wears a Rolex Oyster Perpetual, but
other details provided are scanty, leaving it up to the reader to decide
which actual Rolex the literary Bond wears. The 007 movies fill in the
gaps, leaving us with a sense of excitement when we encounter the actual
watch worn in the film.
The Original “Bond Submariner”
One of the most prominent and recognizable features of Submariner
6538 is its over-sized crown and lack of crown guards. This “big crown”
certainly distinguishes this timepiece from other models in the
Submariner family and is a feature collectors look for. This Rolex
utilizes a caliber 1030 nickel-finished lever 25 jewels movement. The
brown or black gloss dial prominently features luminous dot, baton and
dagger markers as well as luminous Mercedes hands and sweep center
seconds. The dial and case are topped with a revolving black bezel
calibrated for 60 units.

Despite this model being designated as the “Bond Submariner,” it is more
than a movie prop. Rather, it was made in the spirit of the Submariner
family with divers or other water adventurers in mind. The 38 mm tonneau

giving it the ability to resist water pressure up to an impressive depth
of 200 meters or 660 feet.
